A flooded evaporator regulates refrigerant flow with a float valve, or an electronic expansion valve and solenoid valve combination responding to a level sensor.
The float valve maintains a set level of liquid in the surge chamber. A flooded evaporator circulates refrigerant through the evaporator and also separates liquid from vapour.
